Our Services

Demolition

Barr Demolition has the skills and experience to manage and execute your demolition project whatever its scale and complexity. Our experience spans all sectors including industrial, commercial, public sector and residential - including high-rise. Every phase of the demolition process is planned and carried out efficiently and we make sure that the impact of our work on the surrounding community and environment is kept to a minimum. And, above all, every operative knows and understands the importance of safety and acts accordingly.

Should you require it, we offer a 24-hour call-out service 7 days a week.

Dismantling

If your project involves refurbishment or redevelopment, Barr Demolition can provide efficient and safe dismantling. For example, we will carry out deconstruction of internal structures such as staircases, removal of windows and joinery work and dismantling of fixtures and fittings.

We provide such services either as part of a larger project or as a stand-alone service. Often our dismantling work has to be carried out when adjacent buildings are occupied so we make sure that whatever we do doesn't impinge upon people's day-to-day activities.

Asbestos Removal & Asbestos Surveys

Barr Demolition has vast experience in the management of asbestos removal projects and asbestos surveys. All operatives are highly trained experts in the safe removal and disposal of asbestos and asbestos-containing materials, in compliance with current legislation.

We provide this service for all types of building in all sectors and can carry out the work even if the premises are occupied. We also offer both types of asbestos survey: Management Surveys and Refurbishment/Demolition Surveys and this service is available either on a stand-alone basis or as part of a demolition or refurbishment project - as is our asbestos removal service.

Recycling

At Barr Demolition we place great importance on recycling as much material as possible from each demolition project. Not only is this good for the environment, but we pass on to our clients cost savings from the re-sale of materials and from reductions in landfill tax where applicable.

As part of the project planning phase, we identify those materials that can be reclaimed or recycled. We remove both ferrous and non-ferrous metals and use the latest crushing and screening equipment to process concrete and masonry into various grades of aggregate. We also ensure that valuable components such as slates, hand-made bricks, balusters and finials are carefully removed and re-sold to specialist salvage merchants.

Next Generation Hyundai 40 Tonner.
The first of its kind in the UK.

We are in fact the first company in Europe to purchase the mighty Hyundai HX380A Excavator.

The purchase marks a major investment for Barr Demolition Ltd. From the moment we saw the heavy-duty boom and stick in action, it really stood out for us. The boxing ring fitted by Agritrac is one of the best we have ever seen. This 40 tonner will have greater up-time with planned service intervals extended to 1000 hours. To top it off the new machine meets stage 5 of the emissions regulations thanks to its 8.9lt Cummins L9 Engine rated at 390hp at 1800rpm.

This new Hyundai will help meet our clients needs for many years to come.
